I adopted this large handsome boy one year ago. After seeing him in the window at PACA sporting a red bandana, I wanted to get acquainted with him. I found him to be affectionate and very friendly, but I was concerned he might not adapt to indoor living since he had been living outdoors for many months before being brought to PACA. I took him home, however, and he immediately settled in. Apparently abandoned by a previous owner, he was so happy to have a new home. He is as cuddly as a teddy bear, so I named him Ted.

We adopted Oscar from PACA after fostering him for two months. We are so glad he came into our lives. He does nothing but make us laugh. He was labeled as a "foster failure". He sure showed them!!!
We were told that Violet’s story was that a PACA volunteer found her "for sale" on a garage sale page on Facebook. The person said they wanted to trade her for a playstation. Well, now she is doing wonderful! She loves to cuddle up on blankets, give a million kisses, and play with our other dog, Ace. She even teaches Ace some manners about how to act around humans and unfamiliar situations. She also walks like an angel on a leash. I couldn't have asked for a better pup! Thank you PACA for rescuing her!
Bonnie is a very special dog. We sort of thought that it would be difficult to find her a forever home, because of her weight and age. Little did we know that Sally would step into Bonnie's life. They bonded as soon as they met at adoption clinic, and Sally took her home that day. Bonnie is now spending her days lounging under a big beautiful cottonwood in her very own yard in Corrales. I knew as soon as I stepped into Sally's home that that was meant to be Bonnie's home too. I'm so happy that Bonnie has her own kingdom and best friend to grow old with. They truly deserve each other and the happiness they have found in each other.

Icharus (formerly Peroni) is doing great! Loving life, purring, and taking over the house.

Jackson aka "Jax" was adopted from PACA in 2011. Back then he was small. Here is a new photo of Jax. Now he weighs about 80 pounds and is full of life and love. He has his human and pet family at home (1 heeler x, 1 jack russell and an orange tabby) and loves them with all his heart! He is truly a wonderful dog, a huge snuggler and has his forever home! Thank you PACA!
Dulcet, formerly known as Jane, was adopted in May 2012 and has become an incredibly cherished member of the family. Her licks and snuggles are the best rewards ever!
From Rescue to show dog! Roo was from a large litter born into foster care. She is now a working dog who has earned her first title at 12 months old. Roo is the one sitting on the bale with the judge and her other house mates. She earned her RATI and RATN at Barn Hunt! Great job Roo!!
Rembrandt is now called Chernysh, which is Russian for "Blacky". He is doing just fine, completely adjusted to his new home. He loves to play with the older kids and with my youngest son, 18 months old. They have become "pals". They play together, sleep together, and even eat almost together (see photo). We're absolutely happy after adoption of such a wonderful cat as Chernysh!
Sweet Susie was adopted from PACA at an event at Petsmart in 2008. She has the best personality, is super smart, and cute to boot!! It makes her owner sad to think about how many "homes" she had before she was adopted, but mark my words she's not going anywhere. She's my best friend (even made it through a deployment without forgetting me), gives the sweetest kisses and lets me hug her forever when I'm sad. Susie is the epitome of unconditional love and I'm so thankful for your organization and the opportunity to truly give her a forever home.
Midnight (we kept his name) is doing great and fitting in well with our family. He plays with our other cats. We love him; he is so sweet.
RuthieLittle Merlot, or as we call her, Ruthie, is an absolute joy. She has added such enjoyment to our house and even helped our old man, Panther, to be more energetic. We are very blessed to have such an adorable addition to our family.
Duke (formerly Fernando) was found online by a young boy who wanted a dog. He and his brother did the research on their own and presented their findings to their parents. Now Duke is with his new family, and we hear that his new canine siblings are sad when he leaves the house!
