We Can Help with Outdoor Cats!

If you have outdoor cats in your neighborhood, or you are feeding outdoor cats, we can get them trapped and spayed/neutered for FREE. After they have been fixed and vaccinated, they will be returned back to where they were trapped.

E-mail us at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Or call: (505) 255-0544 and leave a message--let us know the approximate location and number of cats.

We will come out and trap the cats, take them to the vet for spay/neuter surgery and vaccinations, and afterwards return them back to the location where they were found.

Email or call us IMMEDIATELY! We will come out, pick up or trap the kittens, and trap their mom. We will place the kittens and mom (even if she is wild) in a foster home where the babies can continue nursing. Once the kittens are eating on their own, we'll spay the mom and return her. The kittens will live in one of our foster homes until they are old enough to spay/neuter, and then they can be adopted out to loving homes. We are a no-kill animal rescue organization.

Outdoor kittens start becoming feral when they're only a few weeks old, so it is very important that we get them into a foster home where they can be handled by people as soon as possible. Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call us right away, even if the kittens are newborns. Very often the mom will move the litter soon after birth and once she does, you may no longer know where the kittens are or be able to reach them.

By getting kittens to us when they are very young, you will be preventing overpopulation of outdoor cats and also enabling the kittens to have happy lives as treasured house pets. Do not spend time attempting to get close to them to gain their trust--please email or call us right away so that they can be caught.

Albuquerque TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return)

PACA works in partnership with the 501(c)3 non-profit organization Street Cat HUB, and with support from the City of Albuquerque. In addition to being fixed and vaccinated, the cats will be treated for urgent medical issues such as infections and wounds. And once the cats have been spayed/neutered, they will lead much healthier lives with far less fighting and roaming.

PACA volunteers will come to your location and trap the cats.  We will ask you to not feed for 24 hours before trapping, because really hungry cats are much easier to trap. We’ll then come and set the traps at the time you’d normally feed. We’ll bring some irresistibly smelly bait with us, such as sardines or tuna. We’ll set a lot of traps so we can catch all of the cats at one time. As the cats are trapped we’ll come pick them up. They’ll get fixed the next day and the day after that they will be ready for us to return to you. Please email or call us if you have any questions.
